PANCER was set up in1988 in Nowy Żmigród near Jasło. They were famous and recognizable in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. Their song Gasnące latarnie was played in the radio broadcast by Jurek Owsiak and Pokolenie became an authentic anthem of young people living not only in the Low Beskids. They gave concerts very seldom. The last one was in Ustrzyki Dolne, when they took part in the Punk Bands Contest. Members of the famous band KSU formed the jury. The jury defined their concert as show of a precise, panzer machine. The leader of the band says after many years: At that time we were playing fast, hard and crude. PANCER stopped playing in 1990.
Lyrics of Harcerzyki refers to ”the blue battle squads” disrespectfully. Can they help us, if they are hired by authorities? Many years ago they were personification of oppression. And now?...

PANCER powstał w 1988 roku w Nowym Żmigrodzie koło Jasła. Byli znani i rozpoznawalni na Podkarpaciu. Ich utwór Gasnące latarnie był emitowany w radiowej audycji Jurka Owsiaka, a Pokolenie stało się autentycznym hymnem młodych ludzi mieszkających nie tylko w Beskidzie Niskim. Koncerty grali sporadycznie. Na ostatnim wystąpili w Ustrzykach Dolnych na przeglądzie grup punkowych przed KSU. Ich koncert został określony przez organizatorów jako występ dokładnej, pancernej maszyny. Lider zespołu po latach wspomina: Wtedy graliśmy szybko, ciężko i dosadnie. PANCER przestał działać w 1990 roku.
Tekst Harcerzyki lekceważąco określa „niezawodne niebieskie brygady”. Czy będąc na usługach rządzących są w stanie przyjść nam z pomocą”? Kilkadziesiąt lat temu byli uosobieniem ucisku. A dziś? ….
