BUSH DOCTOR was set up in 1985 in Zgorzelec (Lower Silesian Voivodeship). They were first at the independent stage, they cooperated with the Anarchist Federation. They represented punk with elements of reggae ska and funk. They were famous for engaged lyrics. They gained popularity at the festival in Jarocin in 1989 turning their performance into political happening. They also unleashed war with the organizers announcing on the first day of festival from the small stage the information that the band CLOSTERKELLER becomes the winner – and they were right. Mirek MAKEN Dzięciołowski was tightly bond with the band. Today he is a famous journalist, DJ and promoter of reggae music in Poland. BUSH DOCTOR broke up at the beginning of 90s.
Every man is the master of his own destiny. Does the human’s life have to be limited to automatism: work – home – TV set – vodka? Fortunately not all of us are “machines”. Sleep well!

BUSH DOCTOR powstał w 1985 roku w Zgorzelcu (woj. dolnośląskie). Byli prekursorami sceny niezależnej, współpracowali z Federacją Anarchistyczną. Reprezentowali repertuar punkowy z elementami reggae ska i funk. Słynęli z zaangażowanych tekstów. Zyskali popularność na festiwalu w Jarocinie 1989 roku, łącząc swój występ z politycznym happeningiem. Rozpętali wojnę także z organizatorami, ogłaszając w pierwszy dzień festiwalu na małej scenie, iż grupa CLOSTERKELLER zostanie laureatem – no i nie myli się. Z grupą ściśle związany był Mirek MAKEN Dzięciołowski, dziś znany dziennikarz, DJ i promotor muzyki reggae w Polsce. BUSH DOCTOR rozpadł na początku lat 90-ych.
Każdy człowiek jest kowalem swego losu. Czy życie człowieka musi sprowadzać się do automatyzmu: praca – dom – telewizor – wódka. Na szczęście nie wszyscy jesteśmy „maszynami”. Więc śpijcie spokojnie!
