REŻIM is a band from Złotów (Greater Poland Voivodeship), which was set up in 1983. They played with frequent breaks. They started playing again in 1987 and again suspended their activity. They were a political band, they played hardcore/punk with crossover elements. They had their best time after 1992 when they released their best material in APR studio in Szczecin. They played till 1995. REJESTRACJA from Toruń was their musical authority. The CD Tribute to Rejestracja recorded in 1998 by former REŻIM members was a tribute to this band. After REŻIM’s break up other interesting bands were formed: 1125 and RANGERS.
At the beginning refrain For the red friends was: Hey communists, great patriots/ Hey communists, faithful comrades. Cover of this song was played by RĘCE DO GÓRY and PIDŻAMA PORNO. The piece shows exactly the band’s views on realities of live governed by communists. In 90s people in democratic elections chose representatives of “old” power forgetting about times of propaganda, repressions, enslavement, self-interests. The party which won last election in Poland seemingly giving ”something”, takes something more valuable – freedom.

REŻIM to kapela ze Złotowa (woj. wielkopolskie), która powstała w 1983 roku. Grali z częstymi przerwami. Reaktywowali się w 1987 roku, po czym znów zawiesili działalność. Byli kapelą polityczną, grali hc/punka z elementami crossover. Najlepszy okres zespołu nastąpił po 1992 roku, gdy nagrali swój najlepszy materiał w studio ARP w Szczecinie. Zespół grał do 1995 roku. Ich muzycznym autorytetem była toruńska REJESTRACJA. Płyta Tribute to Rejestracja, nagrana w 1998 roku przez byłych członków Reżimu, była hołdem złożonym właśnie tej kapeli. Na gruzach REŻIMU powstały inne ciekawe kapele: 1125 oraz RANGERS.
Pierwotnie refren Do przyjaciół czerwonych brzmiał: Ej wy, komuniści, wielcy patrioci / Ej wy komuniści, wierni towarzysze. Cover tej piosenki grały Ręce do góry i Pidżama Porno. Utwór dobitnie wyraża poglądy kapeli na temat realiów życia w kraju rządzonym przez wyznawców idei komunizmu. W latach 90-ych ludzie w demokratycznych wyborach wybrali przedstawicieli „starej” władzy, zapominając o czasach, propagandy, represji, zniewolenia na rzecz prywaty. Tekst jakże aktualny w dzisiejszych czasach. Partia, która obecnie przejęła władzę, pozornie „coś” dając, zabiera coś bardziej cennego – wolność.
