MECHANICZNA POMARAŃCZA (CLOCKWORK ORANGE) formed in June of 1985 in Wrocław. They played mix of post-punk and jazz. The debuted on small stage in Jarocin’85. In 1987 they debuted in whole-nation radio in well known punk broadcast “Radio nieprzemakalnych” hosted by Walter Chełstowski. Their texts could be read in youth magazine „Na Przełaj”. They got back on Jarocin Festival in 1988 and with short breaks they existed to 1989. On of band members was SKUTER – a poet, Wroclaw musician, known for cult band ZWŁOKI or PRAWDA. In his honor today is organize in Wrocław SKUTER’S MEMORIAL.
The song “Strange new to the wall” doesn’t lose its relevance in today’s socio-political situation in Poland.

Zespół MECHANICZNA POMARAŃCZA powstał w czerwcu 1985 roku we Wrocławiu. Grali post punkową mieszankę z klimatami jazzowymi. Zadebiutowali na małej scenie w Jarocinie ’85. W 1987 roku zadebiutowali w ogólnopolskim radio w znanej audycji punkowej „Radio nieprzemakalnych” Waltera Chełstowskiego. Ich teksty można było przeczytać także w gazecie młodzieżowej „Na Przełaj”. Na festiwal jarociński wrócili w 1988. Z małymi przerwami istnieli do 1989 roku. Jednym z członków zespołu był SKUTER - poeta, muzyk wrocławski, znany m.in. z kultowej kapeli ZWŁOKI czy z zespołu PRAWDA. Na jego cześć we Wrocławiu organizowany jest do dziś MEMORIAŁ SKUTERA.
Kawałek „Obcy nowi pod mur” w dzisiejszej sytuacji społeczno-politycznej w Polsce wciąż nie traci na swej aktualności.
