ZIMA was set up in 1986 in Nowy Sącz. From the very beginning they played engaged and expressive punk rock with intelligent lyrics. They were one of forerunners of the Polish independent stage. They gave concerts very seldom, as the members of the bans lived in different parts of Poland. They released a few cassettes containing mainly recordings of concerts and rehearsals at their own expense. The band existed with some breaks till 1991. After break-up Janusz Reichel – the guitarist, poet, a famous social and ecological activist created own solo project. In 90s he become famous in the punk environment, singing his manifestos accompanied by the guitar. After long break in 2016 he came back to the stage.
Ironic title of the song Tolerance shows motivation of these who on the pretext of faith in God are ready to destroy another humans for the sake of their own businesses. The lyrics are up to date at the times of rules of Law and Justice Party and community of religious Radio Maria which is led by politically engaged priest Rydzyk.

Zespół ZIMA powstał w 1986 roku w Nowym Sączu. Od początku grali zaangażowany i wyrazisty punk rock z inteligentnymi tekstami. Jedni z prekursorów sceny niezależnej w Polsce. Koncerty grali sporadycznie, gdyż członkowie zespołu mieszkali w różnych miejscach Polski. Wydali własnym sumptem kilka kaset zawierających głównie nagrania koncertowe i próby. Zespół działał z przerwami do 1991 roku. Po rozpadzie grupy gitarzysta JANUSZ REICHEL, poeta, znany działacz społeczno-ekologiczny, założył własny projekt solowy. W latach 90-ych stał się znany w środowisku punkowym, śpiewając swoje manifesty z akompaniamentem gitary. Po długiej przerwie w 2016 roku wrócił na scenę.
Ironiczny tytuł piosenki Tolerancja odsłania motywację tych, którzy pod pozorem wiary w Boga dla własnych interesów są zdolni zniszczyć drugiego człowieka. Tekst jakże aktualny w „epoce PIS-lamu i „rydzykowej wspólnoty”.
