BIKINI was formed in autumn 1981 in Toruń. They played new wave, similar to British band B-52’s. The founder, Zbigniew Cołbecki is ex-guitarist of punk band REJESTRACJA. In 1982-83 BIKINI played in many cities and towns in Poland (Toruń, Warszawa, Słupsk), performed at Jarocin Festival and won the main prize at Muzyczny Camping in Brodnica. The band split in summer in 1983. After this, they have reactivated few times but not for long. In 2008 there was loud about BIKINI’s leader – Zbigniew Cołbecki – after his “stunt” (he was cleaning streets in London dancing like Michael Jackson) in short film on YouTube what have been seen by half a million people.
“In cafe” you can be lonely among people, immersed in the world of your own tearful melancholy.

Zespół BIKINI powstał jesienią 1981 roku w Toruniu. Prezentowali styl nowofalowy, zbliżony do angielskiego zespołu B-52’s. Założycielem grupy był ex- gitarzysta punkowego zespołu REJESTRACJA – Zbigniew Cołbecki. W latach 1982-1983 zespół koncertował w wielu miastach Polski (Toruń, Warszawa, Słupsk), wystąpił na festiwalach w Jarocinie (82-83) oraz zdobył główną nagrodę na Muzycznym Campingu w Brodnicy. Grupa rozpadła się latem 1983 roku. Później doszło jeszcze do kilku krótkich reaktywacji. O liderze grupy - Zbigniewie Cołbeckim zrobiło się głośno w 2008 roku za sprawą jego „wyczynów” (sprzątał ulice Londynu, tańcząc przy tym jak Michael Jackson) ujętych na krótkim filmie na youtubie obejrzanym przez prawie pół miliona osób.
„W kawiarni” wśród ludzi można być samotnym, pogrążonym w świecie własnej łzawej melancholii.
